Annlee Ellingson has worked for nearly 20 years as a professional writer and editor. Currently she is the staff writer for L.A. Biz, covering the entertainment and tech beats as well as writing a weekly movie review column.

Annlee spent a large part of her career in various editorial positions (including “Editor”) at Boxoffice Magazine, a trade publication for the movie theater industry, and has also served as the content editor at Moving Pictures magazine. Her film criticism has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, LA Weekly and PasteMagazine.com.

In addition, she oversaw the launch of Southern California Review, the literary journal published by the University of Southern California’s Master of Professional Writing (MPW) Program, where she earned her master’s degree. As Editor-in-Chief, she directed every aspect of the magazine’s publication, from design to content to printing to marketing and distribution.

Annlee has a BA in film studies from the University of Minnesota and an MPW from USC.
